• Heavy weathered-timber (often reclaimed barn-wood) walls or accent walls.
• Dry-stone (often local granite or schist) base courses anchoring the structure to the slope.
• Steel-frame, wood-frame, or bronze-framed full-height glazing facing the mountain view.
• Standing-seam zinc roof, weathered slate, or hand-laid wood shingle.
